The Average Workday
Greetings and aloha everyone! Before moving home for the COVID-19 pandemic I was working at BYU-Hawaii as a Service Center Supervisor. It was literally the best job ever. There were definitely stressful moments, but I had fantastic mentors who helped me learn what leadership and my kuliana is while having the opportunity to be a BYUH ambassador that traveled the island to serve the community. Leadership is using your talents to help others reach their potential. My personal kuliana is my sacred responsibility to give back to my community and family. While in Hawaii my job consisted of traveling to different non-profits across the island and bringing volunteer students to provide labor for those non-profits. It was amazing, I loved being able to give back to the island that let me attend school on their land, things obviously took a turn when our school went remote for my last two semesters at BYUH.
